76mm urocordylid amphibian on 97mm slab from the famous Linton site in Ohio. Known to early paleontologists such as E.D. Cope, the Linton mine has been closed for nearly a century. In Cope's time the Linton Fauna contained the earliest known reptile and is still one of the richest sites for Carboniferous amphibians and reptiles in the world.
